9 Ways Of Using Car Battery Charger

A Car battery charger or car battery recharger is a device that is used to put energy into a secondary cell battery by forcing an electric current through it. Basically, the charging system depends on the size and type of battery being charged. Use a car battery charger properly in very important. Here are tips on how you can use a car battery charger correctly.

1. Choose The Right Charger.
Choosing the right charger for your particular car battery is very important. Different types and qualities charger out there so you have a proper one that suits your car battery. Read your charger manual completely and properly understand how the charger works, how to place the settings. You also have read warnings carefully.

2. Use Safety Glass.
The very first thing you do is make sure your eyes are safe, but the safety glasses before using the battery charger, there is a strong reason for that the reason is batteries contains with some harmful chemicals like sulfuric acid solution that can emit flammable hydrogen gas that can get ignited by a small spark and cause the battery to explode.

3. Remove Battery Cables.
Remove battery cables from the battery terminals. First, remove the negative cable (which is black color) and then the positive cable(which is red color).

4. Confirmation.
Before you start the main process, confirm that the charger is not connected to any other electric outlet and the power switch is off.

5. Connect the Charger.
Now connect it to the battery charger. Connect the negative charger cable (the black one) to the negative (-) battery terminal and the positive (the red one) cable to positive (+) terminal, that's it.

6. Set Up The volts And amps.
In the next step, you have to set the volts and amps to the charger in accordance with your preference, whether you want to charge the battery slowly or quickly. If you would like to slowly trickle charge the battery, then you set the volts and amps to a lower amperage and if you would like to charge the battery quickly then you'll need to set it to a better amperage. But trickle charging is that the better method because it gives the simplest result.

7. Select A Time.
Now let the charger do its work. In this case, you can select a time for the charger and leave it to be shut off automatically when it is done but there are some issues out there that is this feature may not be available in all the chargers, so have to select the charger which has is the function.

8. Leave The Charger.
While the battery is charging, you just leave the battery charger or cables in one place.

9. The Last Step.
When your battery is fully charged, just turn off the charger and disconnect the cables in the opposite order in which you attached them. Now disconnect the negative (the black color) alligator clip of the charger and then the positive (the red color).
